Biography:
Goose, introduced in Marvel Comics and popularized by the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Captain Marvel, is not actually a cat. Goose is a Flerken, an alien species resembling Earth cats but far more dangerous.
Flerkens possess pocket dimensions within their bodies, capable of storing vast amounts of objects, including weapons and even other beings. They can extend tentacles from their mouths, armed with sharp teeth, and teleport short distances.
Originally named Chewie in the comics, a nod to Star Wars, the MCU version was renamed Goose in tribute to Anthony Edwards' character in Top Gun, as Captain Marvel's callsign is Carol "Avenger" Danvers.
Goose plays a key role in Captain Marvel, swallowing the Tesseract to protect it from the Kree. He also scratches Nick Fury, leading to Fury's iconic eye patch.
